Enjoy a lively introduction to Scotland's historic language and culture. The aim of this complete beginner-level class is to provide those with no knowledge of Gaelic the chance to gain skills in communicating effectively. The classes will be conversational in nature but will also look at basic sentence formation and grammar. It is suited to those who wish to gain a basic understanding of Gaelic in everyday situation for their own personal development. The classes will be taught online via Zoom in a friendly and welcoming environment designed to maximise the learning experience. The approach is interactive and students will practise speaking in small groups in break out rooms. This class can be taken alongside the accredited classes on campus or as a stand-alone class. There is no recommended textbook for this class.
