An opportunity to explore the stories behind the creation of some of the great stage and film musicals through active participation in a selection of the songs. Major figures featured will include Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, Jerome Kern and George Gershwin. Come along to learn about performance practice through listening to great performances and, above all, to enjoy the experience of singing together the great songs from the musicals. The ability to read music is not a requirement, nor are there any other musical pre-requisites – simply a willingness to have a go!
