S760: Music Appreciation from Leipzig (online)

Music & Singing

Resident in Leipzig since 2017, Edward Caswell will deliver Musical Appreciation sessions from that famous city where Bach flourished and Wagner was born: participants will feel uniquely close to these composers as he introduces some of their most powerful music. This will form part of a whistle-stop tour through the history of music from twelfth century Paris to 1940s Beverly Hills where the two great Russian musicians Sergei Rachmaninov and Igor Stravinsky find themselves neighbours. There will also be a session on the great Classical composers Haydn and Mozart. Led by Edward Caswell, founder of the Centre’s highly successful Health and Wellbeing through Song classes which he led from 2010 to 2016.

This class will run twice a week - on Tuesdays and Fridays. NB There is no class on Tuesday 21st July.
