10 credits (Language Studies)
This class will offer a friendly introduction for beginners or near beginners to the German language. Learn to communicate in simple everyday situations with points of grammar covered as you progress. The approach is interactive and the atmosphere friendly and co-operative with ample opportunities to listen to audio material and practice speaking in pairs/groups. The class will also look at elements of German life, culture and society in order to broaden the understanding of not just the language, but also the ‘way of life’.
This Daytime Programme class will temporarily be delivered online (via Zoom). Please note that class sessions will extend in duration from 1.5 to 2 hours in duration from January 2022.
Studying for credit? Note that all assessment is online. Tutors will provide the necessary information and support.
Students are responsible for purchasing their own materials.
These classes are aimed at those aged 50 and over.
