D211: Conversational German (Beginners)

This lively class is the ideal way to continue your language studies in an informal and relaxed way. If you are currently undertaking an online language class with us, join this new on-campus class to practise your speaking and listening skills. Alternatively, if you have not taken a formal class for some time this class will help you brush up on your oral skills. This beginner’s conversational class is suitable for those who are at A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (or Stage 1A/1B for classes taken at the CLL). Practise basic interactions about familiar topics such as places and people (e.g. asking for directions, talking about occupations etc.) The emphasis will be on conversation however, listening and reading skills will be enhanced during this class. Points of grammar may be revised where appropriate. The approach is interactive and the atmosphere friendly. There is no recommended textbook for this class.
