D214: Understanding Your Compact Digital Camera

Photography and Digital Image Manipulation

Compact cameras although designed to be small and lightweight still follow the same photographic principals as any camera. The level control may vary but options will be available to help you take a variety of photographs in different situations. This class will explore the settings and programs of your camera and through a series of illustrated talks and hands-on practice you will be guided through these to gain an understanding of what they do and when you may want to use them. This class will be delivered using short interactive visual presentations supported by handouts and discussion to explore the concepts. Practical hands-on sessions will follow to gain familiarity of your camera model. Please bring your instruction manual if you have one. There are no prerequisites for this class.
