History
This class, which requires no prior knowledge, will introduce you to the material culture of Ancient Egypt through study of a range of sites and themes, presented in their cultural and historical context. On our journey, meet individuals and communities in lived and funerary spaces from before the Pyramid Age to the glorious New Kingdom, such as the early city of Hierakonpolis at the dawn of pharaonic Egypt and the much later village of the tomb builders at Deir el-Medina.
