Oils, **NEW for Academic Year 2026-2027**

Would you like to try oil painting for the first time? This beginner-friendly class introduces the essential techniques of oil painting, including blending, impasto, and glazing. Through practical, structured exercises, you will learn colour mixing, palette management, and how to create depth, texture, and atmosphere in your work. With demonstrations and guided practice, you'll gain confidence using oil paints, brushes, and mediums while developing your observational and painting skills. By the end of the class, you will have completed a range of exercises and paintings, providing a strong foundation for further exploration of this versatile medium. You should be familiar with basic art principles taught at Drawing Basics.

Students are responsible for purchasing their own materials.
