This class explores how to create original paintings using photography as a starting point. Learn how to take effective reference photos and develop them through sketching, composition, and experimentation. Emphasis is placed on moving beyond simple copying to produce a more personal, finished artwork in your chosen medium. Some basic painting and drawing experience would be beneficial.

It would be beneficial if students had access to an iPad or phone, but not essential. Students are responsible for purchasing their own materials.
