Learn about Hispanic culture through literature. In these monthly sessions, study six novels by outstanding Latin American and Spanish contemporary authors. Examine different genres and gain understanding of turbulent histories and complex societies by reading captivating books from the Spanish-speaking world. Brief introductory talks by the tutor to contextualise novels, followed by small and large group discussions. Open to everyone who enjoys exploring different worlds. All books are available in translation. The class will be taught in English and no knowledge of Spanish is required. However, if you wish to read the novels in Spanish, that is absolutely fine.

All books need to be purchased and read in advance of the class session. Costs per book are between £5-£15 depending on the version you choose (Kindle, paperback, second hand).
