Discover a diverse range of films and filmmakers from around the globe. See five new releases during the 10-week class run and discuss these films in class on alternate weeks. Each screening is supplemented by a short reading pack devised and circulated by the tutor. The week after each film viewing, students gather as a group for a two-hour class: the first class hour takes the form of group seminar discussion; the second hour takes the form of an informal illustrated lecture presentation. This class is split on alternate weeks between the chosen cinemas and the Centre for Lifelong Learning (CLL) with the first cinema visit taking place on a date and time at the student’s discretion in the lead-up to the first class meeting.

You will be informed of the first film to view on or before 22 January. You will need to buy your cinema tickets which are not included in the class fee. Film viewings to take place the week before class sessions.
