This class will give students a grounding on how to make best use of commercial genealogical websites such as Ancestry and Find My Past. It will also explore how to use The National Library of Scotland website and the UK National Archives Discovery portal effectively. Lecture style with question & answer time.

Please note this session will run from 10.00-16.00 with an hour break for lunch. Ken Nisbet has been researching his relatives military service for over 40 years and is currently a volunteer for the CWGC and Chairman of the South of Scotland Branch Western Front Association. He compiled the Nairnshire Roll of Honour for the Great War which is published by the Scottish Genealogy Society. He is an Associate Staff Member of Dundee University and regularly lectures on a variety of topics.
