This class will explore the records available for researching your relatives' service in WWII, including materials you may already have at home. Topics will include medals and stars. service records, prisoner of war records, combat reports, war diaries, and newspapers as well as how to combine these sources to complete the full story. Lecture based with question and answer time.

Ken Nisbet has been researching his relatives military service for over 40 years and is currently a volunteer for the CWGC and Chairman of the South of Scotland Branch Western Front Association. He compiled the Nairnshire Roll of Honour for the Great War which is published by the Scottish Genealogy Society. He is an Associate Staff Member of Dundee University and regularly lectures on a variety of topics.
