Analyse his rise to prominence in the precarious and volatile politics of 1st century BC Rome, his genius as a military commander, and his role in expanding the Roman Empire. Explore answers to the questions - Was Caesar a typical aristocrat? Why did he wage civil war? Did he kill the republic? This class is presentation-based.
