E214: Acoustic Guitar I: Getting Started

Acoustic Guitar

A class for those wishing to learn the acoustic guitar from scratch. It is also suitable if you have had a go at learning in the past and are looking for a fun refresher to get you playing again. All the basics will be covered including tuning the guitar, learning chord shapes, strumming and simple fingerpicking. Easy songs by The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel and many others will get you playing right away. Song structure and basic music theory will also be covered. By the end of the class you will be able to create simple song accompaniments.
