10 credits (Humanities)
Lifespan psychology is a topic of considerable interest to adult learners. Learn about developmental approaches in psychology within the conceptual framework of ageing. Investigate biological, cognitive, social and emotional change across the lifespan from birth to older age, focusing on early socialisation, cognitive development and the ageing process which includes child psychology, cognitive psychology and gerontology. Appreciate why active learners live psychologically healthier, more fulfilling lives - perhaps even longer lives! Lecture style with discussion.
