Get to know - or reacquaint yourself - with some of the most memorable books ever written with this lively discussion forum for fans of classic writing. At each meeting the tutor (an experienced writer and editor) leads the discussion, exploring your thoughts and feelings about these famous books. The books the group discusses are ‘Frankenstein’ by Mary Shelley (13 October), 'The Age of Innocence’ by Edith Wharton (10 November), ‘A Handful of Dust' by Evelyn Waugh (8 December), 'Go Tell It on the Mountain’ by James Baldwin (26 January), ‘Slaughterhouse Five’ by Kurt Vonnegut (23 February), 'The Handmaid’s Tale’ by Margaret Atwood (23 March), ‘The Trick is to Keep Breathing’ by Janice Galloway (27 April) and ‘Regeneration’ by Pat Baker (25 May). Places are limited to 16 students.
