D074: Calligraphy for Beginners

Other Creative Arts

A perfect introduction to ‘the art of beautiful writing.’ In practical terms, receive guidance on equipment, materials, and lettering techniques. Learn how to produce the Foundational and Italic alphabets, then discover how to enhance the letters with flourished strokes and calligraphic borders. Through one-to-one demonstrations and personal tutor guidance, develop the skill and confidence necessary to create attractive pieces of calligraphy. Students are responsible for purchasing their own materials. Visit http://calligraphicartservices.com for examples of the tutor’s work.

Please note that there will be no class meeting on Tuesday 24 October. An additional week will be added on and the final class meeting will be held on Tuesday 12 December.
