This class will provide an introduction to basic spoken Chinese. By the end of the class you should be able to communicate within a good range of common situations in Chinese. You will be introduced to a core vocabulary used frequently in everyday life including a good coverage of Chinese speech patterns and various real life scenarios in which you will learn to use Chinese. This class will focus on listening and speaking skills and will therefore only use pinyin, a romanisation system for Chinese.
