Between 1900 and 1930, Harry Lauder became the world’s highest paid performer.  The first Scottish superstar!  He was in huge demand worldwide, performing in the USA 22 times, Canada, Australia New Zealand, India and South Africa.  He played golf with American presidents, dined with British royalty and was the first to sell 1 million gramophone records.  Yet he suffered personal tragedies.  This class will include listening to some of his songs, and students’ vocal participation is encouraged! Lecture style class with question and answer time.
