D213: Taking Better Photographs

Photography and Digital Image Manipulation

The choices you make when taking a photograph, your viewpoint, the lens you choose, your camera settings, will determine how an image is recorded and ultimately how much impact it has. This class will focus on photographic composition and techniques to help improve your photographs. Through PowerPoint presentation and class discussion basic elements of photographic composition and camera settings will be explored to provide a better understanding of setting up a photograph in a variety of situations. You are encouraged to bring a selection of digital images for an informal review session in the final week. There are no prerequisites for this class.
