D312: Introduction to Psychopathology (Abnormal Psychology)

Are you taken with the likes of ‘Sherlock’, ‘CSI’, ‘Cracker’ or ‘Sea of Souls’? Are you interested in finding out about psychology, mental health and abnormality? Find out about different models of uncommon behaviours to allow a greater understanding from different perspectives. Learn about the classification systems of mental health and behavioural disorders will be introduced and critiqued as will our more psychological approaches. Specific mental health issues such as schizophrenia, depression and eating disorders will be explored. You will also be introduced to the range of therapies available and used in the treatment of mental disorders. Lecture style with question and answer time.

Please note there is no class meeting on Thursday 1 May.  A further week has been added on to the end of the class schedule to make up for this.
