D411: Tracing Your Irish Family History

Genealogy on campus/satellite

Many families in the West of Scotland can trace some of their family roots back to Ireland. Until recently, this has often been considered to be a genealogical ‘brick wall’, due to the loss of certain historical Irish records a century ago. This perception is now changing, due to the increasing availability of important records. Uncover what records are available to help you enhance your knowledge of these elusive family branches, and place this new information in the wider context of your family history project.
