Mental Health and Wellbeing
What are your emotions trying to tell you? Emotions shape every human experience, influencing thoughts, behaviours, and relationships. As a counsellor-in-training, or in the early stages of your career, developing a deep understanding of emotions is essential for building strong client connections and facilitating healing. This course will teach you how to become an emotions detective through practical exercises and reflective practices focussing on:
-Deciphering how to read emotions and create space for your client to become more aware of their own
-Becoming more confident and granular with naming different emotions as well as focussing on holding space for clients’ to experience their emotions in the safety of the session
-Learning about the unique traits of emotions and gaining an understanding of their action tendency; helping us know what is important about a situation and guiding us to what we need
-Ultimately developing both our own and our clients’ self-awareness.
