D403: Health and Well-being Through Song for Beginners (online)

Cappella Nova Outreach

Health and Wellbeing through Song classes are necessarily a bit different this term. Nevertheless we shall still begin by feeling the benefit of gentle stretching through a physical warm up. We shall then enjoy exploring vocal technique and experience the positivity which singing brings. Guidance will be given on breath support and tone production. Repertoire will include rounds, unaccompanied songs, exercises and some tasty tongue twisters. Time will be given to learning music which could be further developed when face to face classes resume. There will be opportunities for Students, should they wish, to share their musical interests with other participants in a supportive and encouraging environment – this could be by playing a recording, or maybe giving a rendition of a favourite song!
