Do you have a passion for arts? Are you interested in French culture and history? Study more about France and the Francophone world in a friendly, supportive environment? Learn about French artists and art movements (Impressionism, Art Nouveau, Art Deco…) and their historical and cultural contexts from the Middle Ages to the modern day. Discover how art and everyday life intersect in French-speaking countries from painting to architecture, decorative arts to street art and cinema by analysing and discussing iconic images and representations. Class discussion and group activities. No previous knowledge required, although an interest for the visual might help. The class will be taught in English.
