D739: Upper Circle: Walk the Glasgow Subway

History: Out and About

You may have travelled on the Glasgow Subway, but have you thought about the route the train follows as it speeds around the city? This guided walk traces the tracks at street level and gives a new perspective on the third oldest underground railway in the world. You will hear how the Subway was designed and built in the 1890s and see the original buildings that powered the system before electricity. Along the way, you will hear about and see the stations and other notable industrial and transport related buildings.

Information on the meeting point will be sent to you. Please dress for the weather.
